The Prop Club®
is a both a functional and visible
deterrent to unauthorized aircraft operation.
The bright red color of the Prop Club®
and the accompanying banner provide a visible deterrent. The Prop Club®
locks onto the propeller creating an out of balance condition and is
designed to fit on most constant speed propellers, locking at the base of the
propeller.
The
Prop Club®
can be installed by either sliding it on or by positioning the bottom piece on
the hub and then pivoting the top piece around to align with the locking
mechanism.
Then, just compress the two pieces together and turn the locking combination rings to secure the Prop Club® in place.

The Small Prop Club® has a compressed approximate operating range (opening) of 4.75" to 5.5". As long as the Prop Club® can attach to the base of the propeller within this range, and the closed dimensions are smaller than the widest part of the propeller, the Prop Club® will securely attach (weight 2.4 lbs.). The Regular Prop Club® has a compressed operating range (opening) of 6" to 8". As long as the Prop Club® can attach to the base of the propeller within this range, and the closed dimensions are smaller than the widest part of the propeller, the Prop Club® will securely attach (weight 2.8 lbs.).
